Public Wi-Fi

This week 8, I read an article on how to stay safe on public wi-fi. The increasing availability of the internet in nearly all public spaces, including libraries, coffee shops, airports, and shopping centers, makes convenient connectivity more important than ever. However, this connectivity also introduces security risks because public Wi-Fi is not as secure as many believe. The article highlights the importance of staying securely connected and offers tips on how to protect sensitive transactions on public networks. What stands out to me is the Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) Hacker. This type of attack is common on public Wi-Fi networks. As the name suggests, this hack involves the hacker intercepting communication; the hacker positions themselves between you and your destination so that any information you send passes through them. Isn’t that interesting? And that middleman can access anything they want. Isn’t that scary? It is very scary, so be aware of public Wi-Fi.https://parachute.cloud/how-to-stay-safe-on-public-wifi/
